CROSS (2024)

A Short Film written and directed by Tyrel Lougheed.

“Sarah is visiting with her teenage grandson, Devin, when he asks her to tell him a story about the olden days. Sarah recalls her time in Residential School when she was thought to be possessed by a demon.”

Local drag queen, Ladonna Cree (aka Rob Gurney) plays the lead, Sarah. This was decided to showcase 2Spirited-ness and be a further representation of what was lost by colonialism.

This short film was funded by Indigenous Screen Office and was shot in Edmonton, Alberta.
